We had grand plans to go out onto the lake, but with our slightly late get up time (around noon :) and the fact that the wedding pictures finally came, we decide to chill at the apartment. We browsed the pictures, which were quite fun to relive those wedding day moments, and only had a couple of qualms (chiefly, that Stuart liked motion photos, but they made it a bit difficult to see faces). A lot of the dancing photos turned out like the following:
Overall, Stuart did an amazing job. He captured the day and we were able to relive and laugh about the good times that beautiful Saturday.
In the late afternoon, we had a nature sighting, and true to the environmentalist in Alisa, we decided to feed the squirrel and see how close it would come to us. At first the squirrel was timid and hid, but Ali put the walnuts on the patio and the squirrel finally worked up the nerve to explore. It kept darting out for a nut, then ran back into hiding.
As exciting as this was, we started bringing the walnuts and craisins (that's right, we pulled out the big guns) closer to use. The squirrel was game and after several iterations, came into the apartment a couple inches and grabbed some food out of Ali's hand. It was so adorable! I was on photo detail, and didn't want to scare the critter, but by the time that I tried taking a photo with the squirrel in her hand, Ali jumped because the squirrel had touched it's nose to her finger. I couldn't tell who was more startled, the squirrel, or Ali.
