The Pumpkin Patch

We took Josiah to the Gathering Together farm near Philomath, OR today and he got a nice close look at the nifty orange spheres.



Sadly, he didn't quite get that he was supposed to be super excited to be in the Fall weather. :)

After looking at the huge pile of pumpkins we decided we would wait and get a pumpkin at Costco, Winco, or Safeway because we wanted one big enough to put Josiah inside. After a 45 min drive we arrived at Costco at 6:08 and learned that they close at 6 on Saturdays. So we drove back to Corvallis to finish our shopping at Winco. Winco had 6-8 HUGE cardboard boxes outside the entrance and they were ALL empty. Safeway only had 2 of the huge boxes and they were also empty.

So after getting a ton of cute pictures with lots of pumpkins, we don't have a pumpkin to carve for Josiah's first Halloween! :( oh well, we'll check at Jim's fruit stand on Monday and hope they have something for us! if not we'll get some pictures of Josiah in a pile of candy :)
